All businesses – big and small – will have several projects that need to be managed across different teams of people.
It’s not easy to manage multiple projects together, which is why dedicated project management software like Wrike are in such high demand.
In this Wrike Review 2016, we tell you everything you need to know about the software that will help you easily manage your projects.
So let’s get started.
It is a very popular and critically acclaimed online project management software. It is designed to manage multiple projects done by in co-located and distributed groups in a much easier, faster and more efficient manner. It is extremely flexible, which allows several groups to work together and get things done in one place. You can schedule, discuss, prioritize and track work done across multiple projects in real time.
For sure, it doesn’t have as many features as a couple of other project management software available in the market, but it is more than adequate given its low price. It is in fact the project management software used by several Fortune 500 companies and top organizations such as Adobe, HTC, Stanford University, EA Sports and even Google.
Features
It is very easy to use and uses a unique split screen that allows you to manage several tasks simultaneously and move easily from one task to another, attach files, change account settings, modify deadlines and more, without ever having to switch browser windows. I found this to be a really useful feature and liked that I didn’t have to move back and forth between assignments, files, websites etc. I could do all of that on a single unique split screen.
You can access it in two ways – by user license and by a collaborator license. Your subscription plans decide the number of users you can invite, but you can invite any number of collaborators for no extra charge. Users have complete access to all features. They can create or modify tasks, view reports or add comments. Collaborators can only view the tasks, upload files and add comments – they cannot alter tasks and cannot see all features.
Ease of Use
It is not something that you will be able to master within minutes. You need to spend some time on learning it. It is a highly sophisticated software and it will take some time before you can familiarize yourself with its features. You will find the video tutorials on their website very useful. They also offer live webinars where experienced instructors put you through the paces, explain all the features of the software and answer your questions. Pricing
It has a free and a paid option. The free option is pretty basic and does not have all the features that you want to have. The paid version or a Premium option requires a monthly fee to be paid. You get access to all their features with this option. Here are the various plans under the Premium option.
- $49 /month for 5 users with 5 GB of storage
- $99 /month for 15 users with 15 GB of storage
- $129 /month for 25 users with 50 GB of storage
- $199 /month for 50 users with 100 GB of storage
All their plans, even the free version, allow you to add any number of collaborators. The most popular plan is the $99/month and it is the one that I recommend very highly. If you’re likely to have more than 50 users participating in your project, then call the company at 1-877-77-WRIKE for a bigger plan customized to your requirements.
