    Send Money via Facebook Messenger

From the rumors last October of 2014, it is now official! Facebook Messenger now is not just for chatting among your pals. You can now send and receive money through it at no cost with Facebook’s send money app. But you may ask ‘How do we use the app to send money?’ Well it was fairly simple. If you are the one sending the money, all you have to do is to start a message with a friend. Then tap the $ icon that appears in the Messenger and type the amount you want to send. The last step would be to hit the PAY in the top right and add your debit card to send money.

On the other hand, if you are the receiver of the money it is simpler. First is of course you must open the conversation your friend sent. Then tap the ADD CARD in the message and add your debit card to accept money for the first time. The money is sent immediately but you have to wait a one to three business days for it to show up in your recipient’s bank account.

The send money through Facebook is powered by a credit or debit card, like Visa or MasterCard debit, that you will need to add to your account before receiving cash for the first time. After adding it to your account, you can create a PIN to arrange for an additional security every time you send money.

TouchID can also be enabled ion iOS devices. Remember that you always can add another layer of authentication to your account to have a more secure money transfer. If you are in doubt of keeping your banking details safe just be reminded that Facebook has been handling loads of payments for games and ads daily. Just imagine how experienced they are in that field and maybe you can rest easy.

Did the Facebook send money fascinates you? If you are now starting a message in Messenger to try the new feature I just want to drop down another information. The service is yet to come to iOS, android, desktop and is only available, for now, in the US. Don’t worry too much with it not being available in your own country. Just be patient enough and it’ll come.
