The Space Age Gadgets are turning our Kitchens into an amazing experience.
Everyday life is starting to look like something out of a science fiction movie.
High-tech gear has taken over almost every part of our personal and professional lives – and for the most part, made it infinitely better and more comfortable.
Now it’s time to do the same with cooking.
These space age gadgets, kitchen work is going to be changed forever.
Some are surprisingly simple and make you wonder how didn’t anyone think of that before, others are complicated pieces of engineering, but all pretty cool.
The Smart Fridge
The fridge which automatically orders food when you run out still doesn’t exist, but this is the next best thing.
It comes with a lot of useful features, the most important being the ability to order food using the fridge door.
Also, there are a couple of cameras inside, which comes handy when you’re out shopping and you want to see what items you are missing.
You can assign expiration dates to a specific product and be reminded when they are approaching.
It also keeps your food cold (and there’s a special section for wines).
This robotic bartender started as a Kickstarter project a year ago and now it’s available for sale.
It works quite simply – you fill it with different drinks, use the app that comes with it to choose your cocktail and wait until it’s done.
The app comes with 300 of its own recipes, but you can add you own, or change the existing ones depending on personal preference.
This space age gadget keeps itself clean for the most part – the pods in which you pour the drinks need to be cleaned separately. However, they can fit in any washing machine.
Cooking on just the right temperature is first and foremost a health issue, but it’s also important for the quality of your cuisine as well. Professionals at smeg appliances say that the hardest thing is finding the stove that can accommodate the preferences of a large family. It isn’t easy to pinpoint the difference between ‘medium rare” and “medium well” stakes. Smart thermometers can help with this. It uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone and lets you know when the meat reaches the exact temperature you set up. There are other perks as well, like knowing the inside temperature or the estimated time it takes for the meal to be done.
The prep pad
This space age gadget takes measuring scales to a new level by combining it with a calorie measuring device. It looks simple, but the technology behind it took years to reach this stage. Your job is to place a plate on a pad and the accompanying app will show you the nutritional value of the meal you’re about to have. It goes much beyond calorie count – the information you get is quite extensive. Everything from potassium content to carbohydrates can be accessed if you’re using iOS.
This isn’t a device that’s needed in every kitchen, but for those who are interested in fine wines, it’ a must have. Decanting a wine is a process of pouring wine from a bottle to another vessel (or a decanter). It separates the wine from the sediment which is created as the wine ages. The process also helps with aeration, which restores the taste and smell of the wine. iSommelier automates and speeds up this process by simply injecting oxygen into the wine. The app allows you to choose how much aeration you’re going to need.
Working in the kitchen can take away some of the joy of cooking and fine cuisine. With these devices, the mundane tasks become pretty much automated and you can focus on what’s really important.
