Sony has confirmed that it will no longer manufacture PSPgo, which is a version of the PlayStation Portable handheld game console launched in 2009. While speaking to Japanese site Impress, Sony put the full stop on the rumors and confirmed that production of not-so-successful portable gaming console will cease. Around the world, any unites which are still in warehouses will remain on sale until they’re gone.
We may never know that why Sony has killed PSPgo so soon? The reason behind it’s failure is that PSGgo is never sold so well and has not been a fan favorite ,and ultimately died in the competition with cheaper Nintendo DS Lite and the do-anything iPod Touch. Also, there is the inability for UMD owners to transfer their games over to the PSPgo as the digitally downloaded games arriving later than those on UMDs. Now, all the speculation has come to an end. Although, Sony did not say exactly that when will be production of the console finally closed but very soon it will be closed. Sony will utilize utilize its resources on producing the NGP . It is expected that by the end of this year, NGP will be shipped in at least on territory. Sony has announced to continue soldiering on with the bigger PSP-3000. Well, Good luck!
