Connecting Laptop to PC is not a difficult task; a few settings and a cable is required to connect the two. The procedure is quite simple. The first and foremost thing you are required to do is to check for connection points or ports on both your laptop and TV. Connection points are usually made at the back side of these devices.

There are basically five kinds of ports or jacks involved, these are:

• Composite/phone plug (RCA)
• S-Video
• Video graphics array (VGA)
• Digital video interface (DVI)
• High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI)

The connection settings of each of these are different and discussed below in detail.
Composite/phone plug (RCA)
A Composite/phone plug or an RCA connector was quite prevalent until a few years back. Earlier most of the televisions had this kind of port; some are equipped with such ports even now. This port is required for analog audio and video components. It consists of three round sockets of different colors: red, white and yellow. If your TV set has this kind of port you would require a three-prong cable in order to connect it to your laptop. The cable can be purchased from any electronics store and used to connect the two devices.
S-Video or Super Video
You require a four-prong round plug for this analog video connector. You can see this jack mostly on the old TV sets and certain laptops. The audio cables for this are the same as those used for the RCA connector. The procedure of connecting laptop with TV is quite easy if you have S-Video port on both the components. You just require an S-Video cable for the connectivity. Audio cables can be added in order to enhance the sound quality.
There is a cable which is specially designed for those who have an RCA jack on laptop and an S-Video on their TV set or vice-versa.

Video graphics array (VGA)

This jack includes 15 pins. If you have this on your Laptop you require a Laptop to TV connector in order to connect it to your TV. All you need to do is to connect the VGA cable from the Laptop to the converter and connect an RCA cable or an S-Video cable out to your TV set. You are not required to attach any external power adapter with this as the converter is powered with USB.

Digital video interface (DVI)
This port includes 24 pins and is usually placed on Macintosh laptops. You require RCA analog audio cables for the red and white plugs. They come in two sizes, if you have a smaller port you will have to connect through an adapter. Mostly you get the adaptor along with the laptop.
High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI)
It includes 19 pins and is much smaller than the DVI port. If your television set has an HDMI port, you will not be required to attach any extra audio cables. There are certain television sets that come with one DVI or HDMI port. Such Televisions need a single cable if the device at the other end also has HDMI port.
In case your laptop supports a DVI port then you will require a DVI-to-HDMI cable for video and an RCA analog stereo cable pair in order to connect your Laptop to TV. After checking the kinds of ports on your laptop and TV and analyzing as to which all cables and adaptors are required, move on to the next step.
The next step is that of tuning. You need to build a proper tuning between the laptop and TV in order to enjoy good audio-visual clarity. It means that the screen resolution and aspect ratio must match; if these differ the picture would appear unclear and hazy. The screen ratio of most of the older computer monitors was 4:3 which was same as that of the standard television sets. However, in the newer versions of computers and in laptops the screen ratio is mostly 16:10.

The ratio of HDTV is 16:19. However, the ratios differ in still photography and motion pictures. Similar is the case with the screen ratios of different monitors; it depends on the number of pixels. The pixels on a 15 or 17 inch laptop LCD screen vary between 1024 x 768 and 1920 x 1200 while the pixel range in HDTV and big screen television sets ranges from 1920 x 1080 to 1366 x 768.
If the size of your laptop and TV screen varies, you are required to make adjustments to the pixel ratio and ensure that the pixels on each device are well-matched. Open display setting in Control Panel in order to adjust your laptop’s picture ratio and resolution. There are certain laptop’s such as the Mac laptops that adjust the screen resolution and ratio automatically. For the rest you can do manual settings in order to adjust the resolution. Once this is done, you can connect the laptop to your television set and view pictures and videos on a large screen.

9: Navigate to /Applications/Preferences.app/ and download the Settings.plist

10: Now remove the requiered Capabilites key from item number 26 and save the changes.

11: Replace the version on the iPad with modified version.
