ABC News today has announced the availability of a new iPad app that savors the users with the latest news on their iPads and helps the users to stay connected with the latest happenings all around the globe.

The app’s interface revolves around a large, 3D globe that fills your iPad’s screen when you launch it. To force quit an unresponsive app all you have to do is press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the red slider.

Normally, this is what you would do to power down your iPhone or iPod touch. In this case however, when the slider appears, release the sleep/wake button and then press and hold the Home button. If it works correctly, your iPhone will forcefully quit the unresponsive app and return you to your home screen.

How to force quit an application in iPhone OS 3.0

You can easily force quit an application in iPhone Firmware 1.x and 2.x while it hangs up by holding down the Home Button for a few seconds. But is the latest and greatest iPhone OS 3.0, Holding down the Home button for few seconds activates the Voice Control.

Actually the Force Quit an application feature is still there but requires some additional steps to perform.

Steps

1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the slide to power off screen appears

2. then press and hold the home button until the application quits (5-6 Secs)
