2. Create a new folder called “Firmware” and copy the firmware zip inside it.

iOS4 for iPhone and iPod touch is just released, and its still available only for developers right now as the official version is yet to go live. But till then you can use the firmware in your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and a team has successfully tried to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS with the iOS4 firmware, using the Pwnagetool tool. Steve Jobs unleashed iPhone 4 with iOS 4 released the iOS 4 GM firmware for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 3G and 2G along with SDK 4 GM at WWDC 2010. iOS 4 Gold Master (GM) Build 8A293 is now available to developers and will be released to general public within 2 weeks.

The iOS 4 firmware is build 8A293 and iOS 4 SDK is build 10M2262.

Note:Jailbreakers and iPhone unlockers MUST stay away from iOS 4 until the dev-team or someone releases new jailbreak and unlock tools for iOS firmware.
